Air-X-Changers, established in 1954, is the world’s leading supplier of air-cooled heat exchangers and one of the oldest and largest manufacturing companies in the natural gas processing industry.
A long list of designs that have become standard in the industry started as Air-X-Changers innovations: from our famous WheelFin tm tube design to the compact, forced-draft, vertical discharge Model EH, the world’s most widely used gas compression cooler, to the engine-driven, multiple-fan Model F.
Our heat exchangers are the primary apparatus used to protect compression systems and condition natural gas during recovery, compression and transportation from underground reserves through the major pipeline distribution channels. Air-X-Changers units are also widely used in turbine lube oil cooling, landfill gas compression and liquids cooling.
The Air-X-Changers product lineup is the broadest in the industry, ranging from the smallest to the largest engine-driven models for gas compression service, with a full line of horizontal electric motor-driven coolers for a broad range of industrial applications.
Since 1954, we have designed and built over 40,000 air coolers, tailored to specific customer needs and applications. These units have been as large as 22 ft. wide x 62 ft. long, with test pressures up to 18,000 psig, for engines rated at up to 8,500 bhp.
